Criminal Minds Episodes : Demonology
In the Season 4 Episode 17, an old friend of Prentiss, named John Cooley, informs her about the sudden death of their mutual friend Matthew Benton, due to heart attack. He also tells Prentiss about Matthew’s fears about himself being killed in the same manner as a person named T. Valentine. As Garcia, investigates she finds the name matching with another person in the area who had died only recently due to dehydration. Although the deaths have many similarities, they cannot be termed as murder medically and in addition they do not seem to be related in any manner. However, soon another man dies in similar conditions but again the death cannot be related to the previous two deaths and there is no medical proof of a murder. However, the BAU team as a whole and Prentiss and Rossi in particular are convinced that the deaths are related and they are actually murders. But the things get complicated as the families of the victims do not want to talk to FBI and Matthews’s family in particular nurses a hatred for Prentiss. The BAU finds the suspected killer but has to take careful steps to nab him as the police have not registered any murder case.
