Criminal Minds Episodes : The Instincts
In this episode of Season 4, a child is kidnapped and kept alive for seven days before the kidnapper kills him by suffocating him to death. The BAU is called in to investigate, when another child is abducted in a similar manner. The agents’ investigation leads them to the criminal in Las Vegas, who turns out to be woman who is out of her mind. The woman had gone insane after her new born baby was taken away from her, only seven days after the child’s birth and that is why she kills children after seven days of their abduction. On the other hand, Agent Reid has is haunted by the memories from his childhood during his sleep. He has a terrible nightmare about the time from his childhood, when he had found a child murdered in the basement of his house. As the episode ends, Reid seemingly wakes up from his terrible dream and comes to the realization that in his dreams the child was in fact murdered by his estranged father.
